Hey Mama! I share your desire to make your home a peaceful, loving place.
I also understand being pulled in a million directions - being exhausted at the end of every day - choosing between the chores that are piling up and spending time with your kids - never mind the impact on your relationship with your partner and with yourself. It is so hard to reconcile the immense JOY that being a Mama brings with the incredible STRESS that you operate under. You are a dedicated Mama...And I am a dedicated supporter.
As a professional and seasoned Mama (although we are ALWAYS learning & improving) I can help you be the Happy Mama you were meant to be! Just imagine how amazing you'll feel when your life is balanced, energized, intentional. Imagine truly embodying your passions and modeling a fulfilling life for your children. I see you...and you are inspiring!
I'm so glad you are here.
Although I am the original Happy Mama here at Happy Mama Wellness, it was a long road to get here.
My personal journey brought a year of infertility appointments, a failed IUI and an ectopic pregnancy before we were BLESSED with our beautiful baby girl. Working so hard to become a family somehow made me feel even more guilty on the days that I was just plain tired. It wasn't until I got perspective and gave myself permission to be HONEST that I became a Happy Mama.
My professional journey brought me from a 10-year career as a marine animal trainer (my dream job!) to being a passionate Happy Mama Mentor...and I couldn't be happier.

My Professional Journey
AAHCC- Since 2014 - Certified Instructor with (TM) The Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth
CCCE- Since 2016 - Certified Childbirth Educator with Childbirth and Post-Partum Professionals Association (CAPPA)
My primary area of expertise is Childbirth Education. After my daughter was born in 2013, I left my career as a Marine Mammal Trainer to be a stay-at-home Mama. Like most families, one income was not going to cut it, so I went searching for a new career...one I could do part-time in the evenings and on weekends so I wouldn't miss out on my daughter BUT I had to be equally as passionate in this new endeavor as I was in the previous. . And so, Happy Mama Wellness was born.
MSH - Since 2015 - Certified Instructor with (TM) My Smart Hands
After using Baby Sign Language (which is just teaching American Sign Language or ASL signs to your infant...not actually its own language!) with my daughter starting at 3 months of age, I had to add this skill to my resume. After experiencing the LIFE CHANGING benefits of teaching your infant ASL signs, my passion for sharing this parenting technique with other families was quickly ignited!
CLC - Since 2016 - Certified Lactation Counselor with the Healthy Children's Center for Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is natural, yes. But easy...NO WAY! There are so many obstacles and so many Mamas don't even know that simple actions could change everything for them. I knew my daughter might be our only biological child so I cherished our breastfeeding journey. After weaning my daughter at the age of 33 months I knew I wanted to help other Mamas have an incredible journey of their own - for however long that might be!
Still with me? Awesome! I'll share some fun stuff now...
When I am not teaching and mentoring, you can usually find me at home with my wife, daughter and our plethora of animals. That's right...I'm a wannabe farm girl and most days I fail miserably, but I still try!
We live in the middle of the woods on 14 acres with a vegetable garden, ducks (for eggs) and hopefully some goats (for milk) in the spring. We also have two dogs, three cats, a rabbit and fish for pets.
I LOVE cooking for my family (we have been vegan for almost 10 years and are raising a vegan (plus duck eggs) daughter. Ironically, I craved cheese and ice cream during my pregnancy (giving in every once in a while) and my daughter ended up having an allergy to cow's milk! Go figure!
I knit, crochet, am trying my hand at sewing, built a root cellar and am teaching myself how to can stuff. I just yearn for a simpler time...but maybe we could bring the WiFi and indoor plumbing!!
I'd LOVE to learn more about you!
