As a mother (seasoned or new) we have moments of pure brilliance and moments of sobbing in the bathroom...sometimes only minutes apart. And it's OK.
Our patience, endurance and compassion can only go so far...and on some days they may not last until our children are in bed. Here's the good news...our LOVE for our children has no end.
So even in the moments when you want to scream and cry along with your child, remember that you are a GREAT MOM and that everything will be OK.
When your patience is running thin...take a deep breath and give your kid(s) a hug...
When your endurance is running low...take a deep breath and lay down with your kid(s) at nap time...
When your compassion is running low...take a deep breath, look into those little eyes and remember how much bigger and scarier the world seems to your child...you are their safe place...give them a hug.
If you are having a "work in progress" day...I am sending you patience, endurance, compassion and love. And if you are having a "masterpiece" day...I am sending you the same - put it in your bank for a rainy day.
With love to all my Happy Mamas,
